Hmmm I know these won some student ADDY awards but...is the only thing these telescopes do to see things more clearly?

Clever. And the AD sitting next to me likes it too.

In some ways, this is a standard student project/solution: i.e., pick an odd product and do an odd campaign.

To be honest, it’s not bad. At the same time, I’ve seen tons of student books with similar stuff. In the long run, it probably will not stand out (even if it did win an award, as another comment intimated).

Who are we speaking to here? Are these telescopes for hardcore enthusiasts of astronomy? Would it have been more interesting to show the typical high-rise dweller, spotting the lace on someone’s lingerie? Maybe it should have worked backward, where the macro image was almost Rorschach-like to ultimately reveal what is being spied. Right now, the ads are too similar (i.e., all outer space). Unless you’re saying that’s what the audience is into. If so, you ought to try a few that offer a different zag.

If you really want to impress a creative director, try to produce a campaign for Crest toothpaste. Start today and post a few ads in one week.

It's a fun idea.. a bit trite.

I think that the 100X, 200X, 400X information is superfluous and doesn't add much to the ad.

Also... I don't think that the 4X greater magification would provide THAT much more detail.

This may be more effective without the humor. It seems forced.

Overall though... great visuals, needs some work.
