There's a really low-cost stock photo site called istockphoto and they're running a Designer vs. Designer tournament. It's a great place to go to get the creative juices flowing.

AD/photoshoot snob that I am, for the local business/client who steals crappy images off Google and uses them in their ads, they can’t say that iStock is too expensive. Don’t get your hopes up that it’s the next Photodisc, but it’s actually semi-decent stuff depending on what you need.
